Mildred R. Stein, nee Distenfield, passed away peacefully on June 5, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Edward for 74 1/2 wonderful years; loving mother of Myrna Stein and Arlene Stein Iverson (husband Bruce Iverson); cherished grandmother of Jared Iverson; dear sister of “Tootsie” Friedman and the late Bernard and Morris Distenfield and Peggy Shapiro; as well as treasured aunt, cousin and friend of many. Chapel service Wednesday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
